You're Not Here Just to Build a Comfortable Life
Your Life Is Bigger Than You
There comes a point in a man's life when success starts asking a different question.
Early on, we're trying to build.
A career.
A family.
Financial security.
A reputation.
A life we're proud of.
There's nothing wrong with any of that.
But eventually, the question changes from:
"What can I build?"
to:
"Who can I help?"
Because your life was never meant to end with you.
God has given you experiences, abilities, relationships, resources, opportunities, and influence.
Some you've earned.
Some you've developed.
And some were simply placed in your hands.
But none of them were given solely for your benefit.
🟩│ "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." — 1 Peter 4:10
There is that word again.
Steward.
We talked recently about stewarding what God has given us.
But stewardship isn't just taking care of something.
Eventually, stewardship requires using it.
Maybe you've built a successful career.
Who are you teaching?
Maybe you've survived something difficult.
Who are you helping through it?
Maybe you've learned how to build a strong marriage.
Who are you encouraging?
Maybe you've made mistakes you wish you could take back.
Who could avoid those same mistakes because you're willing to share what you learned?
At some point, life has to become about more than accumulating.
More money.
More possessions.
More recognition.
More comfort.
Eventually, a man has to ask:
What am I doing with everything God has taught me?
Because the measure of a life isn't simply what you build.
It's what becomes stronger because you were here.
Forged Truth
God didn't give you your gifts, experiences, and influence only for your benefit.
What He's built in you can become something He uses through you.
Forged Action
Identify one thing life has taught you that another man could benefit from.
Then find one person you can pour it into.
Make the call.
Have coffee.
Send the message.
Share the lesson.
You don't need a platform to make an impact.
You need willingness.
Close
You can spend your entire life building something for yourself.
Or you can build something that outlives you.
At some point, success has to become significance.
Take what God has given you.
Use it well.
And leave something behind in the lives of other people.
Hold the Line,
